The sequel to 'Train To Busan', 'Peninsula' Film Reaches 1 Million Viewers in a Short Time

The film 'Peninsula' or known as the sequel to 'Train To Busan' managed to get a total of 1 million viewers in a short amount of time.


Although currently the COVID-19 prevention protocol is still valid, the film 'Peninsula' managed to get a fantastic number of viewers in South Korean cinema.

As announced by the Korean Film Council, starting on Saturday (7/18) at 8:10 KST, the film 'Peninsula' won a total of 1,000,790 viewers since it aired on July 15, 2020, so that the number of viewers obtained by the film was less than 4 days from airing.

Achievement of the film 'Peninsula' matches the record for the film 'Ode To My Father' which currently occupies the fourth position as the best-selling film of all time in South Korea.

Previously the film 'Peninsula' also won the highest number of viewers on the first day since entering the COVID-19 pandemic.
