Seventeen's agency, Pledis Entertainment has actually apologized on behalf of Mingyu and stated that the handsome idol is contemplating his actions on the controversy.

Seventeen (II) held a press conference in order to promote the mini album comeback "Heng: garae" which was released today, Monday (6/22). On that occasion, Mingyu personally apologized about the controversy that dragged the 97 gang.

Known together in early May, Dispatch reported that the 1997 idol gang, Jungkook BTS (Bangtan Boys), Cha Eunwoo ASTRO, Jaehyun NCT 127 and Mingyu visited Itaewon which was then established as a cluster of COVID-19 distribution.

The Pledis Entertainment agency actually apologized on behalf of Mingyu and stated that the handsome idol was contemplating his actions. But in the comeback press conference this time, Mingyu finally apologized in person.

"I want to directly express my sincere apologies for the disappointment I gave to many people through my recent mistakes. I also sincerely apologize to all the fans who always give me a lot of support and love, members who have worked hard and for those who "I have done my best to overcome this crisis. In the future, I will show you a side of me that will not disappoint through good actions," Mingyu said.

Mingyu's apology was the talk of South Korean netizens. But most of them actually made a sneer saying Mingyu only apologized because Seventeen was releasing a new album.

"You apologize for releasing a new album. Kekeke," wrote a netizen. "You didn't apologize in words but now all you do is release an album?" connect the others. "What's wrong with your apology time?" add another.

Meanwhile, fans recently claimed that Dispatch reported releasing false reports about the gang 97 violating social distance rules and self-isolation and the place they were visiting was a prohibited entertainment facility. This is because the reporters who released the report acted as if they had photographic evidence when they actually didn't know anything.
