The names Bangtan Boys (BTS) and BLACKPINK (Black Pink) may be familiar to Korean lovers. These two groups have high popularity not only in Korea but also abroad such as America.

No wonder the names of these two groups are often seen appearing on the prestigious American music site, Billboard. Recently BTS and BLACKPINK are reaping achievements on the Billboard site. On Tuesday (4/6), Billboard released a list of 50 best songs during 2019 named "The 50 Best Songs of 2019 (So Far): Staff Picks".

As the name implies, this list was chosen directly by Billboard staff from the songs of all musicians in the world. In the list, there are two Korean idols. The idols are none other than BTS and BLACKPINK. They both became the only Korean idols who managed to penetrate the list.

BTS ranked 20th on the list with their flagship song with Halsey, "Boy With Luv". Bryan Kress as the Billboard staff described and praised the collaboration of BTS and Halsey as "unstoppable crossover-pop power".

"The lyrics explored the story of BTS, when this group grew from boys 'in' love to 'with' love. The song gave less experienced listeners the chance to admire what made BTS the biggest K-pop result," said Bryan Kress .

BLACKPINK's latest song, "Kill This Love" won 50th place on the list. One Billboard staff member, Nolan Feeney, praised the popularity of Lisa cs in America by saying that BLACKPINK succeeded in surpassing language barriers.

"Ruling K-pop girl members not only surpass language barriers with their highest hits in the US but also eliminate them," said Nolan Feeney. This proves that language limitation is not a K-Pop barrier to succeed in other countries.

Meanwhile, the two groups are busy with their world concert tour. BTS is busy completing the "Speak Yourself" concert tour in various countries, while BLACKPINK is in the middle of a "In Your Area" concert tour schedule.
