On October 3, T.O.P will act as a curator of a Sotheby's auction in Hong Kong. For this event, she was interviewed by 'CNN Style', a 30 minute show that aired once a month to introduce to the audience in the world of art, design, fashion, automotive, luxury products, and architectures.
T.O.P is an art collector vigorously and has lent his name (#TTTOP) for the upcoming Sotheby's auction. In the 'CNN Style', he showed off a variety of artwork from artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat and Lee Ufan.
He said, "Through my work as a musician and actor, life sometimes can be quite extreme. When I was very tired, I get comfort and inspiration of art and sense of beauty of art brought to me. When I see a design that I like, or an image which gives me satisfaction, or admire the beauty that had never been imagined before, I'm so jealous. Art encourage in my own life. "
T.O.P also revealed that he met with Shoteby's one year ago to begin work on this project. He revealed, "We want to support young artists and donated most of the proceeds to charity. Artists of Asian and Western artists are combined together. And of course there is the masterpiece that is already known to everyone, but there are also young artists with young tastes. "
He continued, "I am proud to see the whole work that we curated over a period of one year. However, it's also thrilling to think that people will be able to immediately share a sense of happiness da powerful emotions I felt during the work on this project."
