Global superstar G-DRAGON returns today with a new single titled “POWER” released by Galaxy Corporation and independent label EMPIRE.
The song’s energy and catchy K-pop music vibes highlight G-DRAGON’s prime vocal performance over the thumping beat.
“The song ‘POWER’ conveys the true meaning of music,” said G-DRAGON. The single “POWER” is his first solo single since his self-titled mini album KWON JI YONG released in 2017.
The EP topped the Billboard World Albums chart and Japan’s Oricon digital chart, making him the first South Korean musician to achieve the feat.

Currently, Indonesia is ranked first in the list of countries in the world that play his music the most.
G-DRAGON's scope has also expanded to art. He entered the ArtNet Top 200 Art Collectors list in 2019 and was part of Frieze Seoul's Now & Next series last year.
This year, G-DRAGON launched a perfume collaboration with French perfumer Frédéric Malle and founded the JUSPEACE organization to help young people in South Korea combat drug abuse.
G-DRAGON was born Kwon Ji Yong in Seoul, South Korea and has established himself as a major figure in the global music and K-Pop industry since the age of 13.
In 2009, G-DRAGON released his first solo album, Heartbreaker, which topped the Korean Gaon chart. His solo mini album, One of a Kind, topped the Billboard World Albums chart with hit singles "THAT XX" and "CRAYON".
In 2013, G-DRAGON released his second solo album, COUP D’ETAT, which also topped the Gaon chart.
Early in his career, G-DRAGON was a member of YG Entertainment and was part of the boy band BIGBANG. In 2008, BIGBANG's album Remember reached number 1 on the Korean Gaon chart and was certified Gold in Japan.
After successfully bringing the K-Pop genre to the global mainstream, the members of BIGBANG decided to focus on their solo projects.
However, in 2018 BIGBANG had released the single "FLOWER ROAD" for a moment of nostalgia.
