Jennie released a vlog showing herself in Italy. However, the vlog immediately sparked controversy and debate because the BLACKPINK member was suspected of smoking electronics/vaping indoors.
In the video, Jennie is seen being dressed up. However, he appeared to be using a small black device which was thought to be a vape. The idol who was born in 1996 then inhaled and exhaled smoke from the device.
This video quickly sparked debate because there were also fans who believed that the device Jennie was using was not a vape. Fans say the idol uses a diffuser which is said to contain health benefits and vitamins.
Other fans say that vaping has actually become part of the lives of many celebrities. They wondered why this issue had to be made a big deal if Jennie also wanted to use it.
On the other hand, another debate is on the position where Jennie is suspected of smoking, namely indoors. Many criticized it because in Korea, this is a violation of the law and must receive sanctions.
However, Jennie is unlikely to be subject to sanctions in Korea because the incident occurred overseas. However, most netizens still criticized this action because Jennie allegedly blew the smoke from her cigarette into the faces of the staff who were doing her make-up.
