Jin BTS admits he was amazed when he was appointed as an assistant training instructor while serving in the military (Instagram @jin)
Recently, Jin BTS sat down for an interview with W Korea who touched on topics related to the end of his mandatory military service (wamil).
One of them was the fact that Jin was appointed assistant drill instructor.
Remembering that this is an opportunity that is only given to those who show extraordinary physical abilities during the training period.
This is certainly a great honor for Jin BTS.
Moreover, the requirements to become a member are to take 18 or more of the 20 shots, complete a 3-kilometer run in 12 minutes and 30 seconds, and pass a military combat fitness test.
Although Jin didn't start his training at a high athletic level, he eventually achieved that goal through hard work.
Jin even became one of the new recruits who consistently achieved the highest score in running.
"At first, it was difficult for me to run 3 kilometers in 15 minutes. However, I slowly became fit because I practiced running every day," said Jin.
"When I was a new recruit, I always finished at the top of the rankings. I thought I could be promoted to elite soldier because I had built up the stamina to complete a 3 kilometer run," he explained.
Since Jin was not born athletic, he was able to improve his health extensively by performing as a K-pop idol.
"I usually get tired easily and I'm not an athletic person," said Jin.
After serving in the army, Jin realized that he had become much fitter.
"Being a soldier has indeed increased my stamina," he said.
As of the time this article was published, Jin had completed his mandatory military service on June 12 2024, after 18 months of service. /kpopchart.net
