On Monday (8/7/2024), JYP Entertainment released a statement saying, "Hello, this is JYP Entertainment. This is an announcement regarding Lia ITZY's health condition and her return to activities. After treatment and rest, her symptoms of tension and anxiety have improved significantly. Therefore, after careful discussions with Lia, it was decided that he would return to activities starting with ITZY's new album which is scheduled for release in the second half of this year."
Before JYP released this statement, ITZY held a live broadcast to celebrate their fan club's fifth anniversary. This was Lia's first moment appearing with ITZY after her long hiatus. This moment was very memorable for fans who couldn't wait to see their favorite vocalist again.
