(G)I-DLE does this after the red cross symbol controversy (X @G_I_DLE)

Recently, the girl group under CUBE entertainment has been embroiled in controversy over the costumes they wore on KBS-2TV's Music Bank on (19/07).

The reason is that GIDLE wore lifeguard uniforms with illegal use of the Red Cross symbol for their latest comeback "KLAXON".

In South Korea itself, the use of the Red Cross symbol is protected by law.

CUBE entertainment as the agency that houses GIDLE has also released an apology.

The agency said, “We are aware of the issue, have contacted the Korean Red Cross, apologized, and discussed follow-up measures to prevent the incident from happening again.”

Reported by NATE media by reporter Kang Seo-jeong, GIDLE is reported to have donated 50 million won with each member donating 10 million won for the recovery of flood-affected areas.

The statement was conveyed by the chairman of the Korean Red Cross, Kim Cheol-soo.

GIDLE's donation is a form of their awareness of the red cross symbol as a symbol to protect life according to the Geneva Convention, international agreements, humanitarian activities and participating in flood relief and recovery following the record heavy rain in 200 years.

All GIDLE members said, “We hope that through the Red Cross's life-saving humanitarian activities, the desperate flood victims will find comfort and return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”

Kim Cheol-soo as the chairman of the Korean Red Cross also said that GIDLE's assistance will provide comfort and warmth to the victims affected by the flood. He also said that the Korean Red Cross as a legal entity for disaster management and also a support organization for assistance will do its best in flood relief and recovery activities. /kpopchart.com
