A white mini dress combined with a black flower-embellished belt paired with sleek black opera gloves made Jennie's appearance even more alluring.

Jennie became the second BLACKPINK member after Rose who appeared at the prestigious Met Gala event which was held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday 1 May local time. Jennie managed to rock a vintage look originally designed by Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel's fall/winter 1990 line.

A white mini dress combined with a black flower-embellished belt paired with sleek black opera gloves made Jennie's appearance even more alluring. Not only that, the singer of the song "SOLO" also combines black tights, a thick choker with the singer's hair slicked back into a neat headband.

This year's theme of the Met Gala is "Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty" honoring the iconic fashion designer who died in February 2019 and his seven-decade career. Karl Lagerfeld himself was once a leader for a fashion house like Chanel, so it's not surprising that Jennie was present to represent the famous French fashion house.

Meanwhile, Jennie debuted as a member of BLACKPINK, which was formed by YG Entertainment, in August 2016. In November 2018, Jennie debuted as a solo artist with the single "SOLO" where the song was a commercial success, topping the Gaon Digital Chart and Billboard's World Digital Songs charts. Jennie will also make her acting debut in the HBO series "The Idol" under the stage name Jennie Ruby Jane.

Jennie was chosen as the new muse for Chanel Korea Beauty and had her first photoshoot for the brand with Harper's Bazaar Korea in January 2018 and then became an ambassador for Chanel Korea in June. In October, Jennie was appointed as a global ambassador for Chanel and attended her first Chanel fashion show as a Korean representative during Paris Fashion Week. (wk/aiss)
