YG starts selling tickets for the 'BORN PINK' encore concert. However, two days after sales started, netizens debated the possibility of BLACKPINK going on tour with unsold tickets.

After wrapping up their historic two-week stage performance at Coachella 2023, BLACKPINK has immediately returned to their "BORN PINK" world tour schedule. They recently performed two nights in Mexico and continue to make headlines. However, allegations arose that tickets for their encore concerts in North America were not selling well.

YG Entertainment has started selling tickets for the encore concert "BORN PINK" in August at major stadiums in North America. However, two days after sales started, netizens debated the possibility of BLACKPINK going on tour with unsold tickets.

In particular, one netizen pointed out that ticket sales for BLACKPINK's encore concerts in North America are worrying, because YG has been selling tickets to the public for several days, but there are still many empty seats at the two concerts at Metlife Stadium and at Allegiant Stadium.

BLINK (BLACKPINK fandom) immediately replied to the post with several reasons proving that BLACKPINK's ticket sales speed is nothing to worry about.

In particular, YG sold about 230,000 tickets, and after two days, about 80% were sold out, leaving only about 25,000 tickets. There are still more than three months left until the "North American 'BORN PINK' Tour Encore" schedule, and the ticket selling rate is quite fast, which is not easy for any K-pop group to achieve.

In addition, the expensive ticket prices and the large size of the stadium also affect the speed of sales. Despite the controversy, BLACKPINK is still the highest-grossing girl group at the moment, even though their tour isn't over yet.

"There are still almost four months before the encore concert. Some concerts have already sold out 80%. What's worrying about that? There are still about ten concerts to come, so should we ask fans not to buy tickets for another concert and wait for Metlife and Allegiant?" fan comments. "About 230,000 tickets were sold, and in just two days there were around 25,000 tickets left. Is that what's called concern?" defend other fans.

"BLACKPINK performed in the US last year, and now they are back for an encore concert with expensive tickets and an additional concert at Metlife, so it's natural that it doesn't sell out. In terms of current tour capacity, BLACKPINK can compete with Western stars, not just K-pop," fans said. "Tickets have only been sold for a few days, and there are 25,000 tickets that have not been sold. Besides, this is an encore tour, and tickets are expensive," added another. (wk/goddess)
