Even though they haven't officially debuted yet, YG Entertainment's upcoming girl group BABYMONSTER has managed to set a new YouTube record. On May 7, YG Entertainment made the announcement at 3:12 p.m. KST the day before, their new girl group BABYMONSTER had surpassed 2 million subscribers on their official YouTube channel.

When BABYMONSTER first launched the channel on December 28 last year, it took the group just 129 days to reach the milestone making them the fastest K-pop girl group to reach 2 million subscribers on YouTube.

The feat is all the more impressive considering that BABYMONSTER has yet to debut or even confirm its final line-up. While seven trainees have been announced to the public as candidates to debut as BABYMONSTER members.

YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun Suk previously shared that he planned to eliminate at least one trainee and that he originally envisioned BABYMONSTER as a five-member group. making it unclear whether the seven girls will debut together. YG Entertainment will reveal the final line-up for BABYMONSTER on May 12 at midnight KST.

"BAEMON hasn't debuted yet, it's made some people nervous to the point of slander here and there, envy floods the comments column of their posts, as sadistic as that is, but it's okay, haters are like that, even from pre-debut, many have underestimated, pitted against each other etc., the signs of success are like his older brother BLACKPINK, hihihi, the rookie era was blasphemed here and there, but now it's proven that they have become the biggest GG in the world, it's not okay, it's okay, what's important is that it lasts," commented Netter. "It hasn't debuted yet, it's already 2 million, what if it's already debuted, wahhhh daebak," said another. "Rappers, vocals, dance, stage presence are all the best compared to the gen4 groups that have just debuted at this time," concluded another. (wk/aiss)
