Carrying traditional Korean culture, Jisoo BLACKPINK is again receiving praise for using heritage artifacts that were found in the heyday of Joseon.

Jisoo will be the last member of BLACKPINK to debut as a soloist. Releasing the teaser before "ME" was launched, the traditional details carried by the 1995-born singer succeeded in making the public fall in love.

On March 21, Jisoo released the second video of the album "ME". Like a painting, Jisoo stands in front of a traditional-style door and is decorated in several parts with traditional paintings.

After being traced, the door that appears in Jisoo's visual teaser is actually an artefact of traditional Korean culture. Known as Kkotsalmun (Lattice Flower Design Door), it is part of the classical monarchy era of South Korea.

Kkotsalmun itself can be found in many parts of Korea today such as palaces of the Joseon era, preserved traditional houses, residences of ancient royalty, and so on. The difference between Kkotsalmun and other doors is the intricate designs and patterns. This Korean heritage item is also a symbol of good luck, making it even more special.

As soon as the details of the door in Jisoo's teaser were realized, Korean netizens were busy giving amazed reactions. They praised Jisoo's ability to promote traditional Korean artefacts with her influence. Kim Jisoo's beauty is also considered to have melted perfectly with the classic Korean concept that has been carried so far.

"Jisoo is very beautiful, so is the door!" said one netizen. "The traditional Asian concept is most suitable for Jisoo. He always looks the best in hanbok," said another netizen. "Jisoo looks very beautiful, I really like the concept of this solo album," added another.

"When I was little, I begged my mom to buy me wicker door flowers for my room lol," commented one netizen. "The flower woven door at Naeso Shrine is very famous," said another.

Meanwhile, Jisoo will release his first single album "ME" on March 31 at 13:00 KST. Her solo debut is even more eagerly awaited because it is 1 year and 6 months away from Lisa in September 2021. (wk/inta)
