BLACKPINK BORN PINK Concert
For the purposes of commuting during the tour, BLACKPINK uses a private plane. It is for this reason that their departures and returns are made through the Gimpo Seoul Business Aviation Center.
BLACKPINK is currently still preoccupied with the world tour "BORN PINK" which stops in various countries and now it's the turn of the Asian leg. The 4-member girl group became a topic of conversation because it was revealed that they used a private plane for this tour.
On March 3, 4 members of BLACKPINK got on a plane to Malaysia and returned to Korea on March 5. After finishing the concert schedule on March 4th, they returned home on the morning of March 5th, so it was almost 2 days and 1 night.
For the purposes of commuting during overseas concert tours, BLACKPINK has been using private planes lately. It is for this reason that their departures and returns are made through Seoul's Gimpo Business Aviation Center, which is used by the heads of conglomerates rather than Incheon Airport.
BLACKPINK is known to use the world's largest business jet. The aircraft has seating for 14 people and is equipped with a TV and a bedroom for video conferencing. The main customer base is people with high net worth and celebrities, and the amount used is around 20 million won per hour.
In addition, at the Seoul Gimpo Business Aviation Center terminal which is specifically for charter flights there are various checkpoints for immigration procedures, VIP rooms, and flight attendant waiting rooms. Since security checks, immigration, quarantine and customs procedures are all carried out in one room, all procedures are usually completed in about 10 minutes. BLACKPINK, whose overseas schedule is a daily routine, used this space to reduce the time they need to clear airport immigration.
The inside of this private plane became widely known to fans when Jennie and other BLACKPINK members uploaded photos of their departure to attend last year's luxury brand fashion show on their personal Instagram.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK successfully completed their European American tour from late last year to early this year. They will tour Asia in March and finish the schedule at the "Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival" in the US in April. After that, with the concert in Mexico and the schedule in Australia confirmed in detail, BLACKPINK's popularity is expected to go worldwide. (wk/goddess)
