SM Entertainment has again revealed their plans for SMS 3.0 (YouTube SMTOWN)

In one part of the launch of SM 3.0, SM Entertainment answered fans' questions in their latest video.

Even though HYBE has become the largest shareholder, SM 3.0 continues to launch SM 3.0 with the help of Kakao.

In the video, SM Entertainment co-CEOs Lee Sung Soo and Tak Young Jun talk to fans who are worried about their favorite artist during the development of SM 3.0 and M&A HYBE.

Their first discussion was about fans' concerns about SM Entertainment's methods of protecting its artists.

They introduced "KWANGYA 119" as their way to "receive (slander) reports and tip-offs in a more systematic way and proactively deal with illegal activities."

The first change from SM 3.0 is how SM Entertainment discloses planned activities.

With this new system, SM Entertainment hopes to "plan activities in advance and quickly notify their fans."

SM 3.0 will also prioritize content not being concentrated on a particular artist, they want to maintain a balance in promoting all of their artists, which fans have often voiced from past to present.

For the latter, SM 3.0 makes important changes to the NCT unit system. Originally the group NCT was formed as a group with "unlimited expansion".

While there are fixed units in NCT such as, (NCT 127, NCT DREAM, and WayV), NCT U units change their line-up depending on the concept allowing new members to be continuously added to NCT.

In the video, the co-CEO explains, "With the debut of NCT Tokyo in 2023, NCT's unlimited expansion is scheduled to end."

Lee Sung Soo also said that this allowed SM Entertainment to support as many existing members as possible.

Also wishing to fulfill fans' wish for NCT members to engage in much more diverse activities.

This announcement was certainly greeted with cheers from fans who supported this change. Including fans who appreciate NCT Hollywood (a previously announced unit) will not be debuting.

They also shared plans for artists' activities in 2023. It was written that EXO, Red Velvet, SHINee, and TVXQ will come with various interesting activities in 2023.
