"I think 'Red Balloon' is a drama that breaks the stereotype that the main character must always be good. I have no choice but to be criticized because the role I play is someone who expresses many wishes," he said.
"Because it relates to the psychology of someone who has no choice but to hide it. No matter how close a friend or family member is, I already thought that he would be criticized even before it was broadcast," continued Seo Ji Hye.
But Seo Ji Hye would rather be blasphemed than not get any comments. "There are some people who understand Eun Gang's position. I read comments from time to time. I'm a little hurt but it's fun," he said.
The actress who also impressed through her acting in "Crash Landing On You" added, "Isn't there a saying that malicious comments are better than no comments? That's how I feel the popularity of this drama."
Seo Ji Hye then revealed her satisfaction after completing "Red Balloon". "I feel satisfaction having finished well (this drama). This is a drama with 20 episodes, and we filmed for 5 months," he confided.
"20 episodes felt really time-consuming, so it was physically difficult. I filmed without hesitation, but after it was over, I thought it would be a more fulfilling work if I had more time. I have mixed feelings, but the result wasn't bad, so I'm satisfied and think it ended well," concluded Seo Ji Hye. (wk/charity)
