The Circle Chart Music Awards, previously known as the Gaon Chart Music Awards, have announced the artists who are eligible for this prestigious award.

The Circle Chart Music Awards took place for the first time since rebranding with a new name last year. The award was formerly known as the Gaon Chart Music Awards.

The awards are determined by the commercial performance of songs and albums based on the Circle charts and data from their new global K-pop charts entered for the first time this year.

As in previous years, the Artist of the Year award is divided into two categories: digital music and physical albums.

The digital music awards are given to the 12 songs with the highest digital downloads and streams each month from December 2021 to November 2022.

The physical album award is given to the four albums with the highest sales for each quarter during the same period.
