Jennie BLACKPINK officially plays the character Angle in the series "The Idol".

Quoted from Instagram @blackpinkpage_id on Tuesday (14/2/2023), this series became Jennie BLACKPINK's first acting debut.

Later, Jennie will compete with Lily-Rose Depp, The Weeknd, Troye Sivan, Rachel Sennott and Suzzana Son.

In this first role, Jennie was immediately trusted as one of the main actors.

“Apparently, JENNIE's role in 'The Idol' was confirmed to be known as ANGEL. He is also confirmed to be one of the main leads in the show!” wrote @jenn ***, on Twitter, Tuesday (14/2/2023).

"The Idol" itself tells of the life of a musician who falls in love with a man from a cult. This film is also classified as an adult film with an age rating of 18 years and over.

This made some fans a little worried, they were afraid that Jennie would get a lot of blasphemy for having adult scenes or something like that.

"On the one hand, I like Jennie playing in movies, but on the other hand, I'm also afraid that Jenny will be criticized a lot if, for example, Jenny's film takes on a troubling role. I hope he will always be mentally strong because he has the courage to take on the role of singing this film. Just the best for you online," wrote @ayu ***.

Even so, not a few also provide support for Jennie and can't wait to see her role.

"Can't wait to see Jennie become an antagonist," wrote @yoka ***.

"I can't wait, pls, I hope there will be lots of scenes with him and Lily," wrote @tet ***.

The Idol series itself is rumored to be airing from June 2023. /celebrities.id
