IU revealed her own ways to get closer to people, recommended interesting dramas and movies, and gave a sneak peek about her album plans, which unfortunately had to be postponed.
On Friday (24/2), a Q&A video was uploaded on Harper's Bazaar's official YouTube channel where IU answered fan questions. First, the singer-actress was asked how she approached people for the first time.
IU said, "I don't immediately approach people I meet for the first time. If I feel like getting close after the first meeting, I tend to meet them the second time."
Then, IU was asked to choose between "approach the person you want to approach first" and "wait for them to talk to you". The "Through the Night" singer chose both.
"I think it's both. But I rarely meet people I want to get close to, so I try not to miss this rare opportunity. That's why I sometimes approach people first. If I really want to get to know someone, I'll contact them."
In addition, IU revealed her plans for 2023 which are already full. "To give a little spoiler, there are albums and dramas. I want to do 'big and sure happiness' this year," said the 1993-born singer.
After that, IU also mentioned, "Actually, I have plans for a 32 year themed album. If we still calculate the age in the traditional Korean way, won't it be next year? However, now that ages are calculated internationally, the plan has gone awry. This might be a spoiler, but there's a reason why it has to be 32 years old."
Finally, in response to the question, "Please recommend a movie or drama that you watched recently", IU recommended 3 works, saying, "The ongoing series that I watched recently is 'Crash Course in Romance', it makes my heart flutter."
"Also, there's a film that means a lot to me, and it's called 'Everything Everywhere All At Once'. I could watch it every day. I think I could talk endlessly long with people who love movies. I don't send it, but I also write letter to the director of the film. And another recommendation is 'The Glory'. This is a highly anticipated revenge drama," he continued. (wk/goddess)
