United Artist Agency (UAA)
The results of the hair test conducted by Yoo Ah In are said to have detected 3 types of drugs at once apart from marijuana and propofol which were previously positive. The agency finally gave a statement.
It was reported that Yoo Ah In's hair test results detected not only components of cannabis and propofol. One of the components of other types of illegal drugs was also revealed from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation.
This news was revealed by the MBC News Desk last night, Friday (24/2). However, this third type of drug has not been disclosed in detail.
"There were 3 types of drug components detected from the actor's hair test from the National Institute of Scientific Investigation. There were other types of drugs that were detected besides propofol, which was a suspicion of being used by the first actor and marijuana," explained MBC News Desk.
Yoo Ah In's agency, United Artist Agency (UAA) responded to this report by stating that he did not know about it. The UAA ensures it is always monitoring the investigation and only learned about it from media reports. However, when asked the authorities did not get any statement.
"We have repeatedly asked the police about the report when the drug was banned. However, we only got the answer 'we can't tell you'," explained UAA.
UAA asks for an understanding of this. The male agency whose real name is Uhm Hong Sik promised to continue to cooperate with the investigation.
"We ask for your understanding that we cannot arbitrarily say our position only from media reports without official information from the police," said the agency which also oversees Song Hye Kyo and Kim Da Mi.
"We did not receive any information about the next investigation schedule but we will cooperate faithfully and accept the investigation as soon as the schedule is determined," the UAA promised.
Meanwhile, Yoo Ah In conducted a simple urine test on February 5 at Seoul Incheon International Airport after he returned from America. At that time, components of cannabis were detected and propofol, which was suspected of being used illegally, was negative.
A detailed urine test still proved Yoo Ah In positive for drugs and negative for propofol. After the results of the hair test were revealed, the actor born in 1986 was also positive for propofol.
The cast of Netflix "Hellbound" is suspected of misusing propofol after diligently getting it at the hospital since 2021 and the investigation began in November 2022. The police previously stated that the investigation into Yoo Ah In's drug abuse case was expanded, initially from suspicions of improper use of propofol to marijuana Also. (wk/alpha)
