1. Not continuing the contract with MLD Entertainment
The Momoland music group did not continue the contract with the agency that managed them. As announced by MLD Entertainment, the six members of Momoland left the agency, after their work contracts ended.

2. The members made an announcement of disbanding by written letter
The official statement regarding Momoland's disbandment was released on all members' social media via handwritten letters using Korean and English. The letter managed to touch the hearts of their fandom.
“We sincerely apologize to Marries who has always supported us. We really apologize for the delay in updating news circulating in an article, "said a member of Momoland in announcing the disbandment, Tuesday (14/2/2023).

3. The three members left first before officially disbanding
Momoland debuted on November 10, 2016, with their first album “Welcome to Momoland”. When it consisted of seven members namely, Hyebin, Jane, Nayun, JooE, Yeonwoo, Ahin, and Nancy. Then in April 2017, they made their first comeback with a single and a new member named Daisy, who was a former JYP Entertainment trianee.
Shortly thereafter, Kim Taeha, a former Produce participant, was announced to have joined Momoland, so that at that time there were nine members. After that, in November 2019, Yeonwoo and Taeha decided to leave Momoland and were followed by Daisy in 2020.
