Drama Doona! has just shared its first stills showing the romance of Suzy and Yang Se Jong.
According to Soompi, Tuesday (17/1/2023), based on the webtoon The Girl Downstairs, Doona! is a romantic drama about college student Won Joon who meets former K-pop idol Doona at a boarding house.
Suzy plays Doona, who used to be the main vocalist of a popular idol group but suddenly resigns and lives in a boarding house near a university. Yang Se Jong is the male lead Won Joon, a simple and warm-hearted college student.
The first images released on January 17 provide a glimpse of the two very different characters who finally meet.
Doona! will be directed by Lee Jung Hyo who directed dramas Crash Landing on You, Romance Is a Bonus Book, Life on Mars, and The Good Wife. It is slated to premiere in the fourth quarter of this year via Netflix.
Suzy is a singer, actress and model from South Korea. Suzy debuted in 2010 as a member of the girl group formed by JYP Entertainment, Miss A. She is also known for her roles in Dream High (2011), While You Were Sleeping (2017) and Start-Up (2020).
