On Thursday (22/12), JTBC shared a new video on its official YouTube channel. This video shows Park Ji Hyun and Kim Nam Hee's interview about their hit drama, "Reborn Rich".
In the drama, Kim Nam Hee plays the eldest grandson of the Soonyang Group named Jin Seong Jun. He underwent a political marriage with the daughter of a wealthy family named Mo Hyun Min (Park Ji Hyun).
They are an ambitious couple who hate each other. But Jin Seong Jun and Mo Hyun Min finally showed confusing chemistry that made viewers curious whether they really loved each other or not.
In the video, Park Ji Hyun and Kim Nam Hee reveal various interesting stories while watching footage of the scene. One of the scenes that caught the attention of the two was the moment of Jin Seong Jun and Mo Hyun Min's wedding.
In this scene, Jin Seong Jun casually applies lip balm while provoking Mo Hyun Min, right before their wedding ceremony. He even smoothed his hair and stroked Mo Hyun Min's cheek to make the girl angry.
Mo Hyun Min's furious expression in this scene is not just an act because it comes from Park Ji Hyun's deepest emotions. He admitted that he was really angry during filming because of Kim Nam Hee's annoying improvisations.
Park Ji Hyun said, "The part when you put on lip balm was improvisational, right? Seriously, I was really mad at you since then. It was the second time I got really mad while acting. The first time was because of Kim Nam Hee."
Not only that, Park Ji Hyun also really hated the scene of Jin Seong Jun who suddenly forced a smile before leaving the room. He even asked the production team to stop the video because he couldn't stand the acting of his co-star.
Park Ji Hyun commented, "That was also improvised and I was so shocked there! I was so mad too!" Kim Nam Hee responded, "Look at the hateful expression Park Ji Hyun showed me."
Interestingly, Kim Nam Hee revealed that the improvisation of the scene came from his personal experience. She recalled, "I made that facial expression based on my own experience on my wedding day."
"I have to keep smiling at the guests at my wedding, even when I feel very tired. I have to force my smile," he concluded.
Meanwhile, "Reborn Rich" only leaves two final episodes and will end on Sunday (25/12). Later this drama broadcast slot will be replaced with "Agency" starring Lee Bo Young. (wk/eval)
