Netflix today hosted the Korner Nest, an immersive zone to celebrate Netflix's various shows, characters and fans of Korean dramas.
The event is open to the public and takes place on November 10-13, 2022 at SPAC8, ASHTA District 8. Korean drama fans can directly explore four areas inspired by their favorite series since mid-2022.
Not only does it bring visitors into the world of Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Little Women, Glitch and Alchemy of Souls, but everyone can also try various exciting activities that characterize each series.
In addition, visitors were also greeted by characters such as Woo Young-woo and Lee Jun-ho from Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Won Sang-ah and Oh In-hye from Little Women, extraterrestrials a la Glitch, as well as Mu Deok and student Songrim from Alchemy of Souls.
When you first enter the area, visitors will see a 20th Century Girl-style phone booth and several Netflix K-Drama posters. Furthermore, visitors are greeted with the Hanbada meeting room in the style of Extraordinary Attorney Woo, with windows that offer views of the city of Seoul.
The main character in this series is Woo Young-woo, a person with autism spectrum syndrome who loves whales and dolphins, and is able to use every mammal's habits as inspiration in solving problems. For this reason, visitors are invited to choose their favorite animal (humpback whales, Yangtze River dolphins, baleen whales, bottlenose dolphins), and watch how the animals 'come to life' on screens in the room.
In the world of Little Women, visitors will be greeted by a giant orchid tree and fragrant flowers. Similar to the series featuring three sisters, Oh In-joo (Kim Go-eun), Oh In-kyung (Nam Ji-hyun), and Oh In-hye (Park Ji-hu), visitors will also get an epipogium orchid flower. a blue aphyllum that can be directly hung on a tree branch while making a wish, accompanied by a character like Oh In-hye who is painting.
The latest Glitch series featuring a young woman's encounter with a UFO becomes the third area in the Korner Nest. In this area, visitors are also invited to look for extraterrestrials using special detectors. After scanning all parts of the visitor's room and finding a special sign, the UFO will 'visit' by displaying a flash of light to take pictures of visitors. Photos can also be taken home as a keepsake.
The series set in the life of the kingdom of Alchemy of Souls will be the last world that visitors can explore. In the dark cave atmosphere, visitors will find a large mirror like the one in the Jinyowon secret room. If in the series the mirror becomes a connecting gate with another dimension, in Sarang Korner the mirror has been equipped with Augmented Reality (AR) technology so that visitors will see themselves clad in clothes from the Joseon kingdom era.
In the last area, Sarang Message Booth, visitors can deliver special messages to 21 Netflix K-drama characters, such as Oh In-ju (Little Women), Nam Han-joon (Cafe Minamdang), Woo Young-woo (Extraordinary Attorney Woo), Yoo Gwi-nam (All of Us Are Dead). In addition, there is a Photo ATM where visitors can take photos taken in the Extraordinary Attorney Woo, Glitch, and Alchemy of Souls areas.
