South Korean celebrity couple Rain and Kim Tae Hee revealed that they got a fantastic profit after selling the building they just bought last year.
Some time ago, Rain and Kim Tae Hee were said to be selling one of the buildings they owned. The building is the Samyoung Building in Seocho-dong, Seoul which the celebrity couple bought last year.
The program on KBS "Entertainment company Live" then discussed the sale of the building, which is now said to be in process in the new episode yesterday, Thursday (10/9). Rain and Kim Tae Hee are said to be getting a profit of around 50 billion won or the equivalent of more than 579 billion rupiah.
Rain himself was revealed to have bought the building last year at a price of 620 million won (7.19 billion rupiah) per 3.3 square meters. So the total purchase of the building is 92 billion won more than 1 trillion rupiah. Rain and Kim Tae Hee are said to have borrowed 45 billion won or more than 521 billion rupiah to buy the building.
The building is known to be located near Gangnam Station, a 2-minute walk. The building has 2 floors underground and 8 floors above ground, with a site area of 147 pyeong (486 m²) and a total floor area of 881 pyeong (2,904 m²). Dermatology, dentistry, oriental medicine clinics, cafes and more are on site here.

The Samyoung building owned by Rain and Kim Tae Hee is said to have started sales with a figure of 135 billion won or almost 1.6 trillion rupiah. This means a profit of 43 billion won or almost half a trillion in just 1 year of buying the building.
The details of the sale are 900 million won per 3.3 square meters of land area and 150 million won based on the total floor area. 900 million won per 3.3 square meters of land area is the highest ever recorded in a domestic commercial real estate transaction.
When rumors that Rain and Kim Tae Hee will sell the building last month, both of them vehemently denied the news. The sales owner himself was silent on the news of the sale.
"There was no attempt to sell it," said Rain through the agency when rumors emerged that the building would be sold after 1 year. "They said they had no intention of selling it, and there was nothing to say," the sales owner said.
