Several Kpop idols formed a new group with a different formation.
Reporting from Allkpop on Friday (10/28/2022), the following Kpop idols formed a new group.
1. GOT The Beat
SM Entertainment formed GOT The Beat in 2022. The group consists of seven successful SME idols: soloists BOA, Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Red Velvet's Seulgi and Wendy, and Karina and Winter AESPA with their debut single Step Back which was released on January 3rd. 2022.
2. SuperM
SuperM was formed by SM Entertainment company X Capital Music Group consisting of seven members from various groups such as SHINee's Taemin, EXO's Baekhyun and Kai, NCT 127's Mark and Taeyong, and WayV's Ten and Lucas. On October 4, 2019, the group made their debut.
3. MOBB
Formed by YG Entertainment, MOBB is a sub-unit of a hip-hop duo consisting of Mino and Bobby, rappers of Winner and iKon. They released their debut Extended Play album, “The MOBB,” on September 8, 2016 and were active until 2018.
4. Hi Suhyun
Another Kpop duo formed by YG entertainment is Hi Suhyun, consisting of soloists Lee Hi and Lee Su-Hyun from AKMU. The group debuted in 2014 with the single "I'm Different" featuring iKon's Kim Bobby.
5. S.M. The Performance
In 2012, SM Entertainment formed a group called S.M. Appearance. The group members are U-know from TVXQ, Eunhyuk and Donghae from Super Junior, Minho and Taemin from SHINee, and Kai and Lay from EXO. They made their debut with a single titled Spectrum in 2012.
6. S.M. THE BALLAD
SM Entertainment formed S.M. THE BALLAD consisting of various idols from Max Changmin, Yesung, Kyuhyun, Zhou Mi, Taeyeon, Chen, Jay Kim, Jino, Zhang Liyin, Jonghyun, and Krystal. In 2010, the group debuted with a song called Miss You.
7. YOUNIQUE
Formed by SM Entertainment and the collaboration of Hyundai Motor Company, YOUNIQUE is a special unit consisting of Eunhyuk (Super Junior), Henry (Super Junior-M), Hyoyeon (Girls' Generation), Taemin (SHINee), and Luhan and Kai from EXO. The group released two promotional singles on October 30, 2012, and disbanded later that same year.
8. Refund Sisters
Refund Sisters is a group formed by the MBC variety show "Hangout with Yoo" on October 10, 2020. The group released their debut single titled Don't Touch Me and consists of Lee Hyori, Jessi, Uhm Jung-Hwa, and MAMAMOO's Hwasa.
9. STATION Young
STATION Young is a group formed by SM Entertainment and consists of four members namely Seulgi from Red Velvet, SinB from GFRIEND, Soyeon from (G)I-DLE, and soloist Chungha. They released a digital single titled “Wow Thing” on September 28, 2018.
10. WJMK
WJMK stands for Wuju Meki. Formed by Starship Entertainment and Fantagio Music. WJMK is a special project group between WJSN and Weki Meki. The group consists of four members namely Seola and Luda of WJSN and Yoojung and Doyeon of Weki Meki. The group debuted on June 1, 2018, with a digital single titled Strong.
11. Triple H
Triple H is a South Korean trio group formed by Cube Entertainment consisting of soloist HyunA, Pentagon member Hui and former Pentagon member E'Dawn. They debuted with the song 199X on May 1, 2017.
12. Trouble Maker
This unit consists of former BEAST member Hyunseung along with HyunA. The duo debuted on December 1, 2011, with their first mini album, titled Trouble Maker.
13. M&D
M&D stands for Midnight & Dawn or Miari & Dangye-dong. M&D is a pop-rock duo unit formed by SM Entertainment. The duo debuted on June 22, 2011, and released their debut single, “Close Ur Mouth”. They then changed the group name to Kim Heechul & Kim Jungmo and finally disbanded in 2019.
14. S
Consisting of SM Entertainment's first generation idols, "S" is a Kpop project group consisting of Kangta from H.O.T, Shin Hye-sung from Shinhwa and Lee jee Hoon. On September 24, 2003, the trio released their debut album “Fr. In. Cl" which stands for "Friends in Classic".
15. K/DA
K/DA is a K-pop girl group Riot Games. This group consists of four character-themed versions of the video game League of Legends. The characters are Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa.
The voices of Ahri, Akali, Evelynn, and Kai'Sa are filled by (G)I-DLE members Miyeon and Soyeon, respectively, as well as American singers Madison Beer and Jaira Burns. Other characters are also voiced by Lexie Liu, Twice's Nayeon, Sana, and many other artists. In 2018 the group released their debut single titled Pop/Stars.
