The more his name skyrocketed both in South Korea and on the international scene, the fee for actor Lee Jung Jae is getting higher for each project, especially the second season of Squid Game which he starred in.
Through a recent report today, October 11, 2022, it was revealed that for each episode of the new season of Squid Game, Lee Jung Jae is expected to receive a fee of around 1 billion KRW (~10.7 billion IDR).
Around 96.3 billion IDR will be generated by Lee Jung Jae only through the second season of Squid Game, if it has the same total episodes as the previous season.
The fee has already surpassed Kim Soo Hyun, who previously held the record as the most expensive actor at around 861 million KRW (~9.2 billion IDR).
Meanwhile, the second season of Squid Game, which is thought to have received a budget of 1 trillion Rupiah, will start shooting in 2023, produced by Netflix Korea and Siren Pictures.
