Having a career in the entertainment world since the age of 7, has made G-Dragon aka Kwon Ji Yong taste the bitter sweetness of working in this field. Through his interview with ELLE Korea, G-Dragon discussed careers and the differences between the past and the present.
G-Dragon, who became one of the covers for the 30th anniversary special edition of ELLE Korea, has conducted interviews to discuss various things, one of which is that he chose to reduce outdoor activities. “But through the times I've had recently, my mind has changed a lot. I have overseas schedules and have had many opportunities to meet people I have known for a long time while attending various events.”
Regarding the values that he learned during his career, the BIGBANG leader said, “When they first entered YG, they didn't have the system like today. I spent my trainee days at school and was often scolded. Since it wasn't a lifestyle where every day was guaranteed, it really felt like living in the wild. When I look back, it was the most fun, the hardest, but also the most excited. Every day is full of ambition and energy. I miss those things.”
G-Dragon also admitted that he conveyed so many prayers and hopes as a trainee, going through a career like life and death. Until success came to him, G-Dragon still feels his current life is not real, "but I also feel this is the life that I managed to achieve and what I got from my struggle so far", he said.
