Yerin recently officially made her solo debut by releasing a mini album titled ARIA. This is the return of the idol after deciding not to continue his career with GFRIEND.
The detikcom team was also given the opportunity to chat with Yerin. He opened up about his career as a solo singer.
Appearing on stage alone, Yerin admitted that she was nervous at first. He even described the feeling as the first time he debuted seven years ago.
"I'm very happy and very nervous. It feels the same as when I first debuted," said Yerin.
Thus, he feels that there is nothing different about him when he has a solo or group career. It's just that, Yerin said that the fans can now focus more on her alone.
"There's not that much difference. But through my solo debut, you can focus more on Yerin who is 'acting' on stage," he explained.
Yerin then talked about ARIA which marked her debut. Through this song, he gives a signal to all fans of a new beginning, both in his career and as Yerin personally.
"ARIA is a song that signals a new beginning with various musical colors. This song has a challenging meaning," said Yerin.
"Because this is the main song of my first solo album, I want to give a different image," he concluded.
