BLACKPINK's Jennie seems to be trying out a career in the acting world. He is said to have been offered a role in the HBO TV series The Idol.

The Idol is a TV series produced by The Weeknd, Sam Levinson, and Reaz Fahim. The series tells the story of a female pop singer who falls in love with a Los Angeles club owner who is apparently the leader of a cult.

The Weeknd is said to be starring in the series. In addition to the singer of the Blinding Lights hits, actresses Lily-Rose Depp to Troye Sivan are also confirmed to star in The Idol.

Reported by a number of South Korean media, Jennie BLACKPINK received an offer to appear as a cameo in the TV series. However, until now, there has been no confirmation whatsoever from YG Entertainment regarding this news.

Previously, Jennie BLACKPINK and The Weeknd were caught having dinner together. This makes fans hope that the two will collaborate.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK members are currently busy with individual activities. Each of them is often seen attending invitations to a number of fashion brand events.

As is known, BLACKPINK's last comeback was in 2020 with the release of The Album. Each member has also debuted solo at different times.

BLACKPINK's solo debut began with Jennie releasing Solo. Followed by Rose who released the album R, and Lisa who released LALISA.

On the other hand, Jisoo focuses more on acting. He recently stole public attention through his acting in the Korean drama Snowdrop with Jung Hae In.

Until now, there is still no information from YG Entertainment regarding BLACKPINK's next comeback in the music world.
