According to Nielsen Korea, the June 18 premiere of Alchemy of Souls earned an average nationwide rating of 5.2 percent, taking first place in its time slot on all cable channels.
The new drama also took first place in its time slot among the main demographic of viewers aged 20 to 49, with a national average score of 2.8 percent.
Meanwhile, MBC's Doctor Lawyer achieved its highest viewership ratings with its sixth episode, which scored an average nationwide rating of 6.9 percent.
Then, SBS Why Her? which aired around the same time as Doctor Lawyer continued its reign as the most-watched series on Saturday with an average nationwide rating of 8.8 percent, taking first place in its time slot across all channels.
Meanwhile, JTBC's new drama Cleaning Up dropped to an average nationwide rating of 2.0 percent for its fifth episode.
