South Korean media The Fact reported that SECRET NUMBER has held a showcase for the release of the fourth single album. The showcase, which was held on June 8, 2022 at 14:00 local time, was held at the Ilji Art Hall in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul.
SECRET NUMBER officially released their fourth single album titled DOOMCHITA for their comeback this time. After the release of his last album 8 months ago 'Fire Saturday', the members said "If before it was a bright and energetic look, this time it's a strong and charismatic dark concept.".
'DOOMCHITA' is the album title as well as the main song in the single album. Having addictive beats, this song shows a different musical color from the previous SECRET NUMBER songs.
“I am very nervous because SECRET NUMBER will be showing a dark and intense image for the first time. Isn't the concept of changing new endeavors and challenges for us? We expressed that image by jumping into the fire," said the members.
Besides 'DOOMCHITA', this single album has a b-side song entitled 'HOLA'. This time, Jinhee and Minji had the opportunity to participate in writing and composing the lyrics of this dance song accompanied by a sweet guitar, strong beat, and easy-to-memorize vocal line.
Minji said, “It is an honor to be able to put my name on the album as a songwriter for the first time. ‘HOLA’ is a song that I tried really hard to capture the individuality of the individual. I'm looking forward to seeing it. if you will give it to me”.
This comeback is the first comeback for Zuu and Minji who just joined in October last year. They said, “I didn't have the chance to meet fans because I debuted during the corona time, but I finally got the chance to meet. I also really enjoyed hearing the screams of the fans on stage. I will work hard to create happy moments.”
Up to 19 hours since its release on June 8 at 18:00 local time, the MV 'DOOMCHITA' has been watched more than 1.8 million times on YouTube. In Indonesia, the MV 'DOOMCHITA' was successfully perched on Trending Music YouTube #3 on the first day of its release.
