When Rosé was unable to work during the bitter 'break' that accompanies the COVID-19 pandemic, she admits it weighed on her both physically and mentally and for her, it was terrible.
During BLACKPINK's Rose (Black Pink) interview with Rolling Stone, she revealed how very dedicated she is to her craft. Working consistently over the years, Rosé endured the bitter "rest" that accompanies the COVID-19 pandemic.
When Rosé is unable to work during these difficult times, she admits it takes a toll on her both physically and mentally. "Oh, it was terrible. I've never rested like that in my life, and it was the worst," said the singer.
She continues, "I got sick at one point - you know, the things our bodies go through when stress hits us? I got shingles. It came with me not knowing what to do in life without a job."
Rosé begins to question the future of the group and her career. Making fun of himself and calling him "dramatic," the unexpected moments give rise to his feelings of uncertainty and fear.
"I'm a workaholic, obviously. I can't stand the fact that suddenly all of our schedules are empty for the next two to three months. I started thinking, 'What if people aren't interested in me, or us, at the end of this pandemic? will I do for the rest of my life?' I don't know why I think that way. Now that I think about it, I'm so dramatic. Why am I being so over-the-top?" said Rose.
During those times, Rosé was able to work alone. "I used that time to get to know myself better. 'How do I cope with myself? How do I deal with myself in a quiet room?' I think a lot of people can really understand it."
Rosé revealed that she feels like she's become more in tune with an introverted side of herself that she didn't know she had. "I was very extroverted back then. It was time for me to adjust to myself, act like an introvert. I kind of created this introvert persona — I remember being in a large room with a group of people, and I wanted to go home for the first time. 'Wow. , is this how introverts feel?'" (wk/goddess)
