As a celebrity, Jae has shown the best of his personality to the public. After receiving a reprimand for his attitude, this former DAY6 member is improving himself well.
Soloist eaJ or previously known as Jae, a former member of the group DAY6, recently reflected on his past mistakes. In depth, Jae discussed this when releasing Season 2 of his Mindset DIVE Studios collection.
On Wednesday (24/5), eaJ officially released Season 2 of its Mindset DIVE Studios collection. In episode 1 of “What a Year,” Jae briefly reflects on the time period since he released his first Mindset collection. And, immediately he recognized the elephant in the room.
"I was rejected several times. It was quite a lot, and it wasn't just a few times. I think there were a lot. There were a lot of things that happened during the last 12 years I was in Korea and working in Korea," said Jae.
During this period, he officially left JYP Entertainment and has been on hiatus from DAY6. He also moved back to the United States. He officially changed his name to "eaJ" and released new music. Regardless, Jae who had been criticized several times admitted his guilt once again.
His most famous incident was when he made a derogatory comment about his friend JAMIE on one of his Twitch live streams. He has since apologized to fans and JAMIE privately, and according to JAMIE himself, the two have spoken about it as well. However, many find it hard to forgive and forget because they feel as though Jae has shown his "true colors".
As a result, for many netizens he remains ignored as an idol. In Episode 1 "What a Year" Jae continues to reflect and says he knows he has hurt people even though he never intended to do so.
"I've hurt a lot of people. There's been a lot of misunderstanding. But in the end, I really wanted to, and always wanted to do the right thing," said Jae. He reassured listeners that he would not shy away from difficult topics that involved his controversy and that he would speak in detail in more episodes. Also, eaJ apologizes for his actions.
Jae immediately covered it in several episodes of Season 2 "A Letter to my Fans" starting by thanking the fans for sticking with him through it all.
"I can't begin to express enough how much it means to me that there is someone out there who believes in me, no matter how flawed I am, whether I make mistakes," Jae said.
"There have been times where I have been careless, careless with my words, and you may have been hurt by my actions. I have caused all of you great pain because of the things I have said or done. And I just want to let you know that the things that irritate you, the things you have trouble with me, are all valid," Jae explained.
While admitting his mistake, Jae apologized again. Although, he understood that not everyone might accept his apology. "I've made a mistake, and I admit it. Even if you don't want to hear it at all or more, I'm sorry," Jae said.
Meanwhile, Jae ended the episode sincerely thanking his fans again. Their support has helped him get through the difficult times and accept him again positively. (wk/taki)
