Bad news came from there TWICE. One of the girl group personnel tested positive for Covid-19. The news was confirmed directly by the JYP Entertainment agency.
According to JYP Entertainment's official statement, TWICE's Sana tested positive for Covid-19 after undergoing a PCR test before leaving for Japan to hold a concert.
The report also added that, the nine TWICE members had undergone daily antigen tests during their stay in Japan for the concert and had received negative results by that time.
"We apologize to inform you that TWICE member Sana has tested positive for Covid-19 today (April 26) after PCR testing for departure to Japan," wrote JYP Entertainment quoted by PinkVilla, Tuesday (26/4/2022).
Furthermore, JYP Entertainment has shared that Sana has received three doses of the Covid-19 vaccine and is currently recovering while being quarantined in Japan. Meanwhile, eight other TWICE members have tested negative and have departed from Japan.
"Sana has received the third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and is currently quarantined and recovering, following disease control guidelines. The other 8 members tested negative and left Japan," said JYP Entertainment.
JYP Entertainment apologized to TWICE fans. They promise to put the health of their artists first.
"We sincerely apologize for causing concern to our fans and related people. JYP Entertainment will position the artist's health as a top priority and do everything possible to support the artist's speedy recovery," he wrote.
