Oscar-winning actress Youn Yuh Jung admitted that she was shocked and upset because she was asked to audition for the drama 'Pachinko'. He even had time to throw away the drama script.

"It didn't make sense for me to audition after acting for decades," said Youn Yuh Jung while attending the press conference for the launch of 'Pachinko', reported by Allkpop, Tuesday (22/3/2022).

Youn Yuh Jung has been in the acting world for 52 years. His name has become a guarantee of quality in dramas and films. His career was getting more and more brilliant in international cinema after in 2021 he played a role in the film 'Minari'.

Youn Yuh Jung only became aware of audition culture at every pre-filming stage of the film after hearing about American culture. Every actor must audition for a role in a film or television series.

“If I auditioned and then wasn't fit for the role, then in the industry people would say, 'Youn Yuh Jung failed the audition,'” he said.

Disagreeing, he also threw the drama scenario at the front door of the house. Apparently, Youn Yuh Jung wasn't the only one who was asked to audition for 'Pachinko'. Lead actor Lee Min Ho also auditioned.
