JR Changes Instagram Username After NU'EST Disbanded, Generates New Speculation

After officially disbanding, JR ex-NU'EST is known to have changed his personal Instagram username, giving rise to a lot of rumors or speculation among fans.

NU'EST's disbandment has automatically been carried out since March 14, starting from the time that his exclusive contract with the Pledis Entertainment agency was not renewed. Along with the disbandment of the group, one of its members, JR, has changed the name of his Instagram account.

On Thursday (17/3), JR's Instagram account name which had the username @pockyjr for a long time was changed to @__jonghyeon. The username, which is commonly known among fans, was changed after JR was included in the member who did not renew his contract with Pledis Entertainment.

Many fans speculate that JR will no longer use his stage name like NU'EST for his promotions. Many speculated that the idol might start using his real name Kim Jong Hyeon once he transitions into acting.

Please note that JR, Aron and Ren decided not to renew their contracts with Pledis Entertainment to explore new opportunities. Meanwhile, Hwang Minhyun and Baekho continued to renew their contracts and continue their activities as solos.

It is not yet known for certain what NU'EST members will be doing solo activities. However, fans believe that some former members will continue their acting careers and some will continue to be soloists as well as actors.

This disbandment brought a lot of sadness to fans considering that NU'EST has been together for 10 years as a group. Even though they are no longer in the same group, fans are looking forward to further news on the latest projects from this former NU'EST member.

Before officially disbanding, NU'EST has released the best album titled "Needle & Bubble" along with the music video for the title track "Again". The song was composed and written by Baekho which has a pop R&B tone with a trendy synth sound combined with a simple and soft piano performance to create a warm atmosphere.

Meanwhile, "Needle & Bubble" is NU'EST's best and last album dedicated to fans. Therefore, this song consists of two new songs into the eight best songs throughout NU'EST's career. (wk/taki)
