VIVIZ Admits Not Having Launched a Special Hand Gesture for Group Recognition, This Figure Gives An Idea
Rookie girl group VIVIZ

When introducing themselves as a re-debut girl group, VIVIZ did not have a hand sign or a group introduction hand gesture. However, someone came up with a hilarious idea for them to have it.

Debuting again with three members, VIVIZ talked a lot about their first impression of being in the group. Including the matter of having a hand sign which is usually done by idol groups in introducing them to the public.

Rookie girl group VIVIZ appeared as a guest on MBC Every1 "Weekly Idol" on February 9. At the event, VIVIZ introduced their debut title song "BOP BOP!" to viewers and also shared their thoughts on re-debuting as a trio.

As is known, VIVIZ has three members namely Umji, SinB, and Eunha. These three idols used to be members of the girl group G-Friend but had to disband in mid-2021 until finally VIVIZ became the re-debut of the three former members of the group.

During a segment where VIVIZ answered questions sent from fans, a fan asked, "Tell us what your group introduction is!". MONSTA X's Minhyuk who served as the MC reacted by commenting, "This is very important. This is MONSTA X's introduction move," and then quickly showed his own group's moves.

However, in contrast the VIVIZ members reacted to the question by stating that they did not have one. "Even during our previous group promotions, we didn't have it. We thought it was better not to have it," explained Umji.

However, Minhyuk started to convince fellow MC Kwanghee that he should help VIVIZ make a unique introduction gesture. Finally, Kwanghee came up with a move where the members would rub their hands just once. Please note that the group name VIVIZ sounds similar to the Korean word which means "to rub together".

Eunha seems to like the idea so the other members are worried if they rub each other's hands continuously by mistake. They realize that what they are doing is more like begging or praying.

Although Kwanghee kept trying to "sell" his idea to the VIVIZ members, Minhyuk pointed out that SinB and Umji didn't seem as enthusiastic as fellow member Eunha. When Umji shook her head, stating that she didn't like the idea Kwanghee hoped that after today's broadcast, some fans might have other ideas.

Meanwhile, VIVIZ made its first debut on February 9 with the release of the album "Beam of Prism". VIVIZ has now debuted again through their new agency Big Planet Made Entertainment. (wk/taki)
