The news of T-ara's Jiyeon's imminent wedding was officially announced on February 10. Jiyeon introduced her future husband who is baseball athlete Hwang Jae Gyun to the public and revealed that the two had been in a relationship for a long time.

Hwang Jae Gyun is a South Korean professional baseball infielder for KT Wiz of the KBO League. He has previously played for Hyundai Unicorns, Nexen Heroes, and Lotte Giants. Hwang Jae Gyun also plays for the San Francisco Giants of Major League Baseball (MLB).
