Saerom garnered attention for the comments he made before starting the live stream with fromis_9. The idol said something that invited criticism from netizens.

On February 11, 2022, several fromis_9 members, namely Saerom, Jiheon, Nakyung, Hayoung, and Jisun greeted fans with a relaxed V Live broadcast.

The broadcast aired for a while before the members realized that the camera was starting to turn on. While Jisun seemed to be laughing at something, Saerom commented with a laugh, "I'm so sick of this. I want to hurry home, right now."

Some of the other members immediately noticed that the live broadcast had started, and said, "Hello." Hayoung then leaned over to Saerom to tell him that their broadcast had started.

A few moments of silence passed before Saerom counted, "two, three" so that all the members could greet the fans together. The broadcast went on as if nothing had happened.

Despite the fact that the comment was made when Saerom was unaware that the live broadcast had started, it still didn't go unnoticed by netizens. They also criticized the idol all out.

"If you don't want to be an idol, then stop. It's easy, right?" netizen comments. "If I was in an idol group and my group wasn't famous even after five years like them, I would be angry too," added another netizen.

"If you don't want to do V Live, just practice vocals. He can't even sing," wrote netizens. "Did he say that right in front of his company staff? There were other people laughing at him before he said that, maybe he didn't mean to say that," defended the netizen.
