Tae Yeon revealed that he immediately fell in love with the song when he heard the demo version for the first time. However, the SM staff said otherwise.

Girls' Generation's Tae Yeon has released her solo comeback album titled "INVU." According to Tae Yeon, there was a dispute between him and the SM staff regarding the choice of the title track or title track for the third album.

"INVU" marks his first studio album in nearly three years since "Purpose" was released in October 2019. The album consists of a total of 13 tracks including title track "INVU," pre-release single "Can't Control Myself," and track "Weekend." ," which was released last year.

During the press conference, Tae Yeon talked about his new album, saying that the album's theme is love. "Love is different in many ways, so the album will not side with one side. In this album, people can find and listen to songs that suit various love situations," he said.

Tae Yeon then shared about the title track, “INVU.” First, he revealed that he fell in love with the song as soon as he heard the demo version for the first time. "I thought, 'This is it. This is what I wanted as a title track,' he said.

But apparently "INVU" is not the main choice of SM staff. The 1989-born singer shared, "There was a bit of disagreement in choosing the title track because the staff didn't choose 'INVU.' We have a situation where everyone says 'no' to it, while I myself say 'yes.'"

Despite the disagreements, Tae Yeon said that he was confident that "INVU" would eventually become the title track. He was even ready to persuade them if the staff would not agree in the end.

As Tae Yeon expected, "INVU" was finally chosen as the title track. This pop dance house track features a soft and beautiful synth and a captivating flute melody. The lyrics express one's jealousy towards someone who doesn't take love seriously.

Prior to the release of "INVU," Tae Yeon first released the song "Can't Control Myself" on January 17. This pop-funk genre ballad is about losing someone's love even if it hurts, hopefully in the end. (wk/chus)
