RM BTS Praised as Cool Continues to Support South Korean Athletes Despite Receiving Criticism from Chinese Netizens

Netizens praised RM for continuing to support South Korean athletes at the 2022 Beijing Olympics despite the criticism from Chinese netizens. Many praised him cool.

RM (Rap Monster) has consistently supported South Korean athletes at the 2022 Beijing Olympics despite malicious comments. The BTS (Bangtan Boys) leader also celebrated the silver medal won by the South Korean women's national team for the short track speed skating relay.

On February 13, 2022, RM watched a live broadcast of the women's 3000m relay final at the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. He even recorded a video and posted it on Instagram.

With Choi Minjung, Kim Arang, Lee Yoobin, and Seo Hwimin participating as athletes of the South Korean national team, they came second after the Netherlands and ended up winning the silver medal.

In response, RM wrote "cool" and sent messages of encouragement and support. He congratulated the athletes along with a video showing Choi Min Jung, the last runner, hugging and rejoicing with the coach after crossing the finish line.

RM has watched the Beijing Olympics more diligently than anyone else. Previously, RM also supported national short track speed skating athletes Hwang Dae Heon and Lee Joon Seo who were disqualified for dubious reasons in the men's 1000m semifinals, as well as athlete Park Jang Hyuk who was injured and abstained.

The clip that RM posted on Instagram Story shows Hwang Dae Heon overtaking two Chinese athletes in the semifinals, but was later disqualified. RM encouraged him with applause and hand emoticons.

After that, some Chinese netizens flooded BTS' official social media accounts and started terrorizing them with malicious comments. But RM is "absolutely stupid" and continues to support South Korean athletes.

RM also posted a picture of the men's 1500m short track final and left a short message that read "Respect." In this match, Hwang Dae Heon won the gold medal.
