Both playing high school kids in 'All of Us Are Dead' and 'School 2021', Cho Yi Hyun talked about the two characters in the drama. Which one is more similar to him?

Cho Yi Hyun has become one of the most talked about young stars since his appearance in "All of Us Are Dead" reaping admiration. How not, the Netflix original drama itself still feels at home hanging out at number 1 globally even though it has been running for more than 2 weeks.

In "All of Us Are Dead", Cho Yi Hyun plays the role of Choi Nam Ra who has many fans among viewers. Choi Nam Ra is a quiet class president who ultimately has significant character development over the course of the storyline.

Before "All of Us Are Dead" was released, Cho Yi Hyun also briefly appeared on the small screen as the main star of "School 2021". Both play school children, Cho Yi Hyun himself feels that his personality can follow the 2 characters. But if you look at it, at first he feels more like Nam Ra but his personality changes again when he plays Jin Ji Won, a student with strong determination and clear dreams.

"Nam Ra's role seems similar to Cho Yi Hyun. But my personality changed while filming. I think I changed a lot rationally when playing Nam Ra. But when I was filming 'School 2021' I came back again. I think we might become similar depending on the role," Cho Yi Hyun explained.

Regarding the character of Nam Ra, Cho Yi Hyun himself feels that his figure as class president still has a leadership spirit. Regardless of how Nam Ra doesn't interact with classmates and is appointed chairman after his mother pays school development fees.

"First of all, as shown in the script, Nam Ra became class president after her mother paid the school development fund. Nam Ra didn't communicate with her friends, but I think she has leadership," said Cho Yi Hyun.

However, when a zombie apocalypse suddenly appears, Cho Yi Hyun mentions that Cheong San's (Yoon Chan Young) natural leadership is more prominent than Nam Ra's. He thinks that if Nam Ra got along with other students more then he would be on par with Cheong San in terms of leadership.

After the zombie apocalypse, Cheong San comes up with various ideas to discover. In a teenager, that is leadership. If Nam Ra hangs out with friends instead of wearing earphones during breaks, I think he will become a person with leadership.

Furthermore, when asked if Cho Yi Hyun was in school and has now undergone many changes, he admitted that he was more likely to work hard than have big dreams. "When I was in school, I wanted to be a musical actor. Instead of having big dreams, I worked hard for that day. Even now, I tend to live hard for that day rather than thinking that I will become an actor with big dreams," he explained.

Cho Yi Hyun said that if there was a change in his view it was the assumption that actors needed recognition more or less. So that his role as Nam Ra who brought success has made him feel honored.

"If there is a change from that, making your name known as an actor. Recognition is also important for actors. I think 'All of Us Are Dead', as Nam Ra, is an honorable job," concluded Cho Yi Hyun. (wk/inta)
