Ahead of the premiere, tvN held a press conference for "Ghost Doctor". The special occasion was attended by director Bu Sung Ceol and the main actors such as Rain, Kim Bum, A Pink's Na Eun, and Uee.
"Ghost Doctor" itself is a fantasy medical drama about genius thoracic surgeon Cha Young Min (Rain) and resident doctor Go Seung Tak (Kim Bum) who are different in terms of their backgrounds, skills, and personalities. But due to an unexpected incident they combine body and soul.
In addition, there is an ER intern Oh Soo Jung (A Pink's Na Eun) who believes in supernatural phenomena. There is also Jang Se Jin (Uee), Cha Young Min's ex, who works as a neurosurgeon. In particular, the two actresses received praise from Rain.
"I have nothing more to say because the character fits Kim Bum so well," said Rain. "I first shot a scene with Son Na Eun, I was so embarrassed because the acting was so good. I thought the collaboration would be smooth from the first scene."
Besides Na Eun, Rain also praised how well Uee acted. So that the owner of Jung Ji Hoon's real name can't do ad-lib because his co-star has memorized the script well.
"Uee memorizes sentences well, so I can't do ad-lib. Makes me want to memorize a thousand times," added Rain.
Regarding the chemistry between the actors, Rain is the most confident in judging it. While teasing his juniors who didn't say anything, Kim Tae Hee's husband mentioned the best chemistry was in Kim Bum and Nae Eun. In fact he gave a perfect score.
"These three people don't dare to say anything. So I think I can do well. I think, the chemistry score for Kim Bum and Son Na Eun is 100 points," said Rain.
Meanwhile, "Ghost Doctor" will start airing today, Monday (3/1). Replacing "Secret Royal Inspector Joy", this drama can be watched every Monday and Tuesday at 22:30 local time. (wk/inta)
