Park So Dam broke the news to her fans and greeted them for the New Year through a handwritten letter after her thyroid cancer surgery. Previously, the actress canceled several schedules due to surgery and recovery.
On Tuesday (4/1), Park So Dam posted a handwritten letter through his Instagram account @sodam_park_0908. Here, the star of the film "Parasite" gives news as well as promotes his new film and greets his fans for the new year.
"Hello, this is Park So Dam. Four seasons have passed and winter has come again and I feel this tells us that we have to start a new year again... You guys have worked really hard in 2021..." wrote Park So Dam .
He continued, "I hope that happiness is specially sent to you in 2022 with 'Special Delivery.' We wish you a pleasant year. Also, may we be physically and mentally healthy."
The actress also expressed her hope to be able to meet fans again soon. "I hope the time when I can express my feelings face-to-face will come soon... I miss you guys so much... Thank you. Have a great time. A blessed year. Happy New Year."
On December 13, Park So Dam's agency Artist Company issued an official statement regarding the actress's health. According to the statement, Park So Dam has been diagnosed with thyroid cancer and underwent surgery according to a health professional's diagnosis. (wk/goddess)
