Hyolyn Positive for COVID-19, Agency Releases Official Statement

Hyolyn (also known as Hyorin) was recently reported positive for COVID-19.

One of the solo singers and a former member of the girl group SISTAR, Hyolyn was announced to have contracted COVID-19, announced by her agency Bridge Entertainment on January 26, 2022.

The following is an official statement from Bridge Entertainment regarding Hyolyn's health condition,

“Hello, this is Bridge Entertainment.

While waiting for the recording of KBS 2TV's Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook on January 25, Hyolyn was informed that she had close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient on her current show Double Trouble. He immediately suspended his schedule and underwent a PCR test.

On January 26, Hyolyn tested positive for COVID-19, and all of the staff members she was with tested negative. Therefore, he canceled all scheduled activities and took the necessary actions according to the guidelines of the quarantine authorities.

Hyolyn completed the second round of COVID-19 vaccinations, but she still tested positive. Prior to last week's recording of Double Trouble, he had used a self-diagnostic device and received a negative result, so he participated in the recording. He also tested negative before Yoo Hee Yeol's Sketchbook when he was using the self-diagnosis kit in his vehicle, but while waiting for the recording, he was contacted (that he was in close contact with a COVID-19 patient) and immediately stopped his schedule.

The company will fully comply with the quarantine authority's guidelines and do its best for the health and safety of the artists. In addition, we would like to apologize for causing concern to fans and viewers. (Hyolyn) will recover as soon as possible and greet you in good health.

Thank You."

Hopefully Hyolyn can recover from COVID-19 soon and return to her normal activities. (www.kpopchart.net)
