Upcoming Netflix drama "All of Us Are Dead" has released its first stills. Along with the release, director Lee Jae Gyu proudly introduces new faces for this K-Zombie drama.
"All of Us Are Dead" tells the story of a group of isolated students at a school where a zombie virus appears. While waiting to be rescued, they fight together to survive. In this first still image, Lee Jae Gyu gives praise to each of the main actors.
First, there is a photo of Park Ji Hoo playing Nam On Zo who is relaxed and cheerful but is in shock. After seeing a friend turn into a zombie, he relies on lessons from his firefighter father to save everyone. About Park Ji Hoo who once won the 18th Tribeca International Film Festival Young Actress Awards for his performance in "Hummingbird", Lee Jae Gyu said, "I cried when I saw On Zo cry so as not to lose his friend.
Next is Yoon Chan Young, who plays Lee Chung San, On Zo's childhood friend, who is calm in assessing crisis situations. Lee Chung San always helps his friends no matter how bad the situation is. Yoon Chan Young said, "Chung San is an altruistic friend. Even I think he is a cool person."
Next, Cho Yi Hyun plays the cold-hearted class president Choi Nam Ra who finally realizes the meaning of friendship and affection for his friends as they try to escape from zombie attacks. Cho Yi Hyun himself has shown his acting skills in two seasons of "Hospital Playlist" and is currently busy with "School 2021".
Park Solomon or Lomon plays Lee Soo Hyeok who is athletic and becomes a strong support for his friends. About the new character Park Solomon who was successful in "Watchman", Lee Jae Gyu commented, "A character who acts on feelings rather than judging the situation from a favorable or unfavorable side."
Then there is Yoo In Soo who plays Yoon Gwi Nam, who threatens the safety of other students more than zombies. Gaining his trust, the director said, "Gwi Nam could be a shallow villain, I thought if it was Yoo In Soo, I could make the character thicker."
Lastly, there is Lee Yoo Mi who plays Lee Na Yeon, a selfish student and has many conflicts with her friends, so she tends to save herself. Regarding the character Lee Yoo Mi whose name skyrocketed through "Squid Game", Lee Jae Gyu leaked that Lee Na Yeon was isolated and had many things to keep to herself.
In closing, the director added, "The true character of the role I envisioned is right before my eyes now."
Meanwhile, "All of Us Are Dead" is scheduled to be released on January 28. As is known, this drama will apply a higher rating than "Squid Game". (wk/inta)
