EVERGLOW's agency, Yuehua Entertainment, was asked for an explanation by a well-known fashion brand, WINDOWSEN after finding out that their products were imitated.
Through their official Instagram, WINDOWSEN uploaded a post explaining about one of the EVERGLOW members, Yiren, who uses a corset similar to their special product.
"With the release of the girl group album EVERGLOW, we saw that the 'WINDOWSEN' corset was featured in their new music video 'Pirate'. It should never have happened because the corset was a special piece we made for Jolin Tsai's 'Ugly Beauty Tour' in 2020. Plagiarism is completely wrong and unacceptable.The corset released by WINDOWSEN was specially designed for singer Jolin Tsai on the 'Ugly Beauty Tour' in 2020.
We expect the agency to remove and remove all visuals and images in which the outfit is displayed, and just want to speak up and hold the company and their stylist team accountable for what was done and take appropriate action as soon as possible."
