'Snowdrop' has experienced a decline in ratings, the drama genre is insinuated to become fantasy

JTBC has twice given statements regarding allegations of distortion in the history of the US broadcast of 'Snowdrop'. Previously, the TV station revealed that the misunderstanding of the plot was only at the beginning.

"Snowdrop" has presented three episodes at once last weekend. JTBC previously announced that it would air the 3 episodes to ease viewers' concerns over accusations of distorting South Korean history.

However, the broadcast of the latest episode of "Snowdrop" did not seem to have received a positive response from the audience. Because the drama starring Jisoo BLACKPINK (BLACK PINK) experienced a decrease in rating from the second episode which had reached 3.8 percent.

In the third episode of "Snowdrop" it recorded a rating of 1.8 percent while for the fourth broadcast, the drama, which also starred Jung Hae In, declined to reach 1.6 percent. The "Snowdrop" rating was slightly saved because the fifth episode reached 2.7 percent.

The decline in the "Snowdrop" rating has been the talk of South Korean netizens. Many accuse this drama still distorting South Korean history because it shows a beautiful image of the leaders and agents of the NSA (government agents in the dictatorial era).

In South Korean history, the NSA was not really an organization meant to bring down North Korean spies, but simply to root out any dissent and opposition to the government regime. Many netizens finally insinuated that "Snowdrop" seems to be a fantasy genre.

"They still treat us with beautiful images from the NSA, throw this away," wrote one netizen. "They asked us to watch until the fifth episode but still showed a beautiful image of the NCA," said another netizen.

"I guess they didn't clear up any misunderstandings? So you guys ended up throwing this out?" said another netizen. "NSA agents save innocent students. Wow. This is a fantasy," added another netizen. "Ah I understand, so in the end it's a fantasy genre," concluded the other netizens.

Meanwhile, JTBC has twice given statements regarding allegations of distortion in the US history of "Snowdrop" broadcasting. Previously, the TV station revealed that the plot misunderstanding was only at the beginning and would be corrected in future episodes. (wk/charity)
