Sam Hammington's Son's Bentley Video Suddenly Goes Viral After Sleeping With His Eyes Open

Sam Hammington, who is a former cast of the variety show 'The Return of Superman', shows a unique incident experienced by his own son, Bentley, where the son sleeps with his eyes open.

Having the habit of sleeping is something that some people have. However, it's a different case if you have health problems while sleeping as experienced by the son of comedian Sam Hammington, namely Bentley Hammington, which has gone viral recently.

On Saturday (4/12), Sam Hammington uploaded a short video to his Instagram account. In the clip, his second son Bentley is seen wide-eyed but breathing slowly and looking so calm, his eyes haven't even blinked in quite a while. However, Sam Hammington's Instagram post made it clear what his son was going through.

"This is not a still image. We went to play ice hockey but fell asleep on the way there. When I opened my eyes for a bit, I saw he was sleeping without closing his eyes, haha. Actually I didn't really want to do it so I went to sleep," wrote Sam Hammington explained the situation.

The video went viral among netizens when they left comments on the post as well as the online community. Many responded positively to deep concern for the 5-year-old boy.

"Wow... He opens his eyes while sleeping? This is the first time I've seen someone sleep with their eyes wide open. It's a little scary, aren't the eyes dry?" netizen comments. "Our bently is funny no matter what he does," said another netizen.

"I also experienced this, but my mother said I had a nervous breakdown when I was little. Bentley should also be taken to the doctor immediately out of pity," wrote a netizen comment. "I was afraid to see him. I couldn't bear to see him like that but he was so cute," commented another netizen.

Meanwhile, the phenomenon of falling asleep with their eyes open can be experienced by anyone, including small children. Medically, this event is known as nocturnal lagophthalmos, which is one of the causes due to problems with the nerves or muscles in the face, making it difficult to close the eyes. But although Sam Hammington found this funny, of course, this is also a health problem that he is concerned about. (wk/taki)
